How Do You Use MedKaz?
Step One
First, your patients give you their MedKaz® when you treat them – whether this is in the exam room, ambulance, emergency room, or anywhere else. From there, you plug it into a free-standing computer or tablet (not into your EMR-connected computer).

Step Two
When the MedKaz loads, it generates a report known as the Health Summary, which gets you up to speed on their health issues in less than thirty seconds and saves you up to six minutes with each patient! In this summary you will find lists of their important past and current health issues, lists of medications, allergies, immunizations, and a list of your patients’ recent visits with other providers.
Step Three
Next, you examine your patient. The difference here is that you can do this armed with the information you need since the Health Summary got you up to speed.
Step Four
As you examine your patient, you may find you need more information about him or her. To get it, you can search your patient’s MedKaz – like in a Google search – to find more information so you can better understand their issues and coordinate their care.
Step Five
When the visit is over, you enter your notes into your charting system describing the complaint, examination, diagnosis, and plan.
Step Six
After the visit, your medical records department uploads a copy of your note to our MedKaz Server using secure DirectMessaging. Our server makes it searchable and emails your patient to download it onto their MedKaz, as well as to others your patient designated to receive copies, such as their care givers, loved ones, and other care providers.
