MedKaz easily solves this problem. It aggregates all our records from all our providers and the application to manage them on a mini drive we carry on our keyring along with our house and car keys. Every time we see a doctor, we give it to them so they can easily access our complete medical record.
During the visit, they use it to quickly get up to speed with our history, streamline their workflow so they can talk more with us, and instantly search its contents so they can quickly and easily coordinate our care.
After the visit, when our doctor signs his note, he does so on his EMR system. His note is then uploaded as a pdf document to the MedKaz Server which makes it searchable. The Server then distributes the now-searchable note to our other providers so they can catch mistakes before they happen, and to others we have chosen, such as loved ones, care givers, and researchers.
